If you're board at home this weekend then head in to the NGV in Melbourne and check out BOARD, a skateboarding culture and artwork exhibition drawn directly from the collection of former Kiwi pro skater Tony Hallam. The exhibition has a specific focus on the 1978 - 1983 period of intense creativity where the Dogtown slackers took skating into the pool, onto the ramp and in skate parks that hadn’t been previously imagined.
The exhibition is currently running at the NGV and finishes this Sunday, 5th Feb. For info click here.
