In 1972 Albie Falzon released 'Morning of the Earth' which is sometimes described as the greatest surf movie of all time, others think its a hippy movie. One things certain, it's definitely not for everyone. The film portrays surfers living in spiritual harmony with nature, making their own boards (and homes) as they travel in search for the perfect wave across Australia’s north-east coast, Bali and Hawaii. G. Wayne Thomas prodcued the soundtrack for the movie which became the first Australian Gold soundtrack album. The movie is screening at the Regent Theatre tonight and at the Dromana Drive-In tomorrow night, Saturday Jan 21. This is not just a usual screening however, there will be live performances of the soundtrack by some of the original artists.
